My name is Lisa, "Crazy Lisa" to most. I've had a love of imagery for as long as I can remember. I dabbled in high school, tinkered in college, and dove in during my first corporate career as relief from the angst of being the right person in the wrong job. Friday, I was a Wellness Coordinator and Monday, I was at school at the Art Institute in Denver. Sometimes, you have to listen intently to the discomfort as it bears amazing gifts.
20 years & going, I continue to fill my Life with the joy of photographing portraits as the owner of The Camera's Eye Studio. Even though I'm rooted in Upstate NY, I often travel up & down the eastern coast and across the United States to Wyoming to shoot. Other areas of photography interest me, but I come alive behind the lens when there's character and personality to be discovered... shyness, strength, depth,... it's all in there waiting to be drawn out. I love it. Whether you're a toddler, high school senior or the dynamic of a family, the joy is showing personalities through portraiture.
Everyone has a niche. I found mine shooting environmental portraits in all natural light. I see it everywhere. I do use artificial light, but nothing thrills me more than watching natural light fall across, on, or over the subject, even in the studio which has 4 incredibly large windows.
Email or text me, it would be my pleasure to meet you... I look forward to collaborating with you!
